Mrs Vera Mee Andersen Dies at 81 in Livermore
Funeral services for Vera Mae Andersen 81 of Livermore will be Friday at 10:30 am at Immanuel Lutheran Church with Rev M K Hoeach officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery. she is survived by husband Everett two sons Jon Casper WY and Scott Craig CO two daughters Anne ISU Ames and Erin Eischen Wesley plus a brother Don Nelson Humboldt. Born May 22 1911 in Humboldt to Peter and Anna Nelson she graduated Humboldt High School and attended Idaho Teachers College later married Andersen July 18 1965 in Hiawatha Kan and lived in Livermore where she worked as bookkeeper for Andersen Motors. She was Red Cross volunteer and pianist for a Livermore dance studio and longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Young bowlers raised 575 dollars in Humboldt on November 20 at Sundance Lanes in an event sponsored by the Variety Club and the Humboldt Dakota City Jayceeettes. Participants pledged per pin and bowled three games, with top prizes awarded for high pledge per pin and high games. Shon Himrod led in pledges, Becky Fairchild won multiple prizes, while Krista Hyland earned a soccer ball. Simon Phillip Toromian, 84, of Humboldt, was charged with striking unattended vehicles and driving without a valid license after a 10 16 a.m. crash on Third Street South. He was driving from Sumner Avenue and tried to turn left onto Third Street, hitting parked vehicles of Philip Hendrickson and Thomas Albrecht. No injuries were reported.

Mrs Anna Griffith returned from a three week stay with her daughter in Camanche and was picked up in Gilmore City by her granddaughter on November 6 for Thanksgiving. The trip also brought Mr and Mrs Dan Warner of Camanche and Mr and Mrs Walter Flaherty of Pocahontas to join the holiday visit. They returned home November 26, and later Mr and Mrs Dick Silcott of Des Moines visited Mrs Griffith for the weekend before leaving Monday.
