Charges filed in two weekend accidents
Two drivers faced charges after weekend wrecks. Irvin Leroy Johnson 36 of Algona was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign after a collision with Jimmie Dean Faltinson 45 of Rutland near the County Blacktops C26 and P33 intersection north of Rutland. no injuries. In Bode, 17 year old Frank Todd Altman was charged with passing in an intersection after attempting to pass Steven Dean Weber 18 of La Verne just as Weber turned left. no injuries.

The 64th annual Humboldt County Farm Bureau meeting at Humboldt High School elected three new directors Norman Olson Brad Foth and Kenneth Hood and re-elected three including Marvin Kuehnast and Kenneth Vorland with McKenney named secretary. The treasurer reported $7836.30 net income on assets of $52695 and several policy resolutions were adopted addressing tax credits petroleum taxes state spending road funding and farm protections in bankruptcy and legislation. State officials and a local quartet provided entertainment for about 200 attendees.
