President William Howard Taft proclaims Thursday November 30 as a day of thanksgiving and prayer. He urges all Americans to gather in worship to praise Almighty God for blessings including harvests, peace, and prosperity, and to reflect on national and global bonds of fellowship.
Fred Settle an early Hull resident died in Lowry City Missouri from tuberculosis. Funeral at M E Church in Hull with Rev. Insko officiating. burial followed after the body was brought from Lowry City. He was born November 4 1882 in Hospers Iowa and moved to Hull at age six. He leaves a large family including parents, siblings, and several relatives across Iowa California Kansas and Missouri.
Mr A Breeman long known to the community as a faithful night watchman has died after a brief illness. He leaves a wife and two daughters Mrs Dick DeKoater and Miss Tracy. Funeral services will be held from the First Reformed Church Saturday afternoon. The writer valued him highly and his loss will be deeply felt by many.
