A notice from the Church Committee cautions all unauthorized persons to stay off church premises and the graveyard, issued by L Keech Ep GC WIR.
The ceremony joined Mr Van Donslaar of Hull and Miss Ella Stapelvoort of Le Mara with Rev P Smith officiating. Guests included brother of the groom and a bridesmaid. Afterward the couple left for Hull for their reception and home on nearby streets.
The passage reflects on 1879 settlement, listing remaining families and homesteads, the shift from rough frontier to cultivated farms, and the editor’s view of community ties. It mentions Mr. and Mrs. S. Koster, travel to Orange City, and vivid nostalgic verses about Lorena.
