Weather Crow Report from Des Moines May 6 1893
The Iowa week saw average temperatures a shade above normal with heavy rainfall across the state and sunny hours well below normal. Small grain and grass prosper while pasturage and hay crops look strong though plowing lagged in moist southeast districts. About half the usual corn acreage had been planted with a hopeful ramp in the southern half if weather allows.
