Superstitious Legends of the Northwest Tribes Sun Raven and Mink
A historical note from the Oregonian describes northern British Columbia tribes and their myths. It details the raven as benefactor and sun bearer, the mink as a sun messenger, and legends linking these figures to fire, sky paths, and creation. It also covers moon sun cycles, salmon feasts, and ceremonial practices among the Bliqula Kiivaknetl and Salish groups, with references to the Dalles and Columbia River customs.
