Auto crash injures hotel proprietor and others

The Barritt hotel proprietor and a companion were injured when the automobile collided on a night run near Adams Avenue. The driver, Newman, from Hawthorne, died at the scene. Surviving relatives include a widow and two daughters, with several brothers named. The body was taken for further arrangements by the Houston Undertaking Company.
