Houston streetcar line changes split Leeland and Dowling routes
Houston Electric Company announces October 9 inaugurations creating Dowling Street line from Main and Congress to Holman and Leeland Avenue line from Main and Congress to Milby. New through service links Woodland Heights and Pierce lines reducing loop travel between Texas Avenue and Prairie Avenue while improving access to Grand Central, Union stations, and hotel district with double truck cars.
