A steam tube explosion on the Trilby steam yacht, owned by Wred Spink, killed Jo day Iva Spink nine, Gladna Spink seven, and Fern Spink two. Captain Spink and Mrs Freda Spink were among the wounded. Harold Spink aged four and Mr and Mrs Jay Kelly were badly injured. Harald Spinks fate uncertain.
