London crowds mobbed Waterloo station as Field Marshal Lord Roberts sailed for South Africa. The prince of Wales and other dignitaries urged him to success while Mrs Roberts and daughters were escorted through the throng. Officials cleared a path for KingEdward VII’s representative and the crowd sang God Save the Queen and Rule Britannia.
Funeral arrangements for Mr Moody are deferred to Tuesday afternoon at 2 40 in the Congregational church Northfield Mass with the body in state. Rev C J Schofield will officiate aided by R A Torrey of Chicago and speakers connected with Moody will address mourners. Messages of condolence pour in from across the U S and abroad as trustees set aside Round Top as the burial site on school grounds.
