Application has been made to charter the Hardee Transportation and Commission Company of Tampa to operate steamers to Honduras and South American ports. The line will handle trains and other commerce. Incorporators are Tampa men.
Publicized papers from General Ricart recently arrested near Manila reveal a planned assault on the city. Letters describe recruiting 4000 Luzon fighters armed with knives to seize the gates and coordinate an armed strike.

A wave of interracial violence erupts in New York on August 24 as white mobs target Black residents on 64th Street and Amsterd Amst avenue. Several victims suffer injuries, multiple arrests occur, and police move to quell the unrest as tensions linger in the neighborhood.
In Akron Ohio on August 21 a peaceful city scene followed reports the militia would be dispensed with. Funeral services were held for Htte Ithoda Davidson who was shot last Friday amid a mob confrontation in front of the city ponding. officials say the fatal shot came from an older firearm. The community expressed strong emotion but avoided further unrest.
