An explosion from a child starting a coal fire in Wynnewood injures a mother and four children. Two children aged 9 and 18 die soon after. the mother Mrs. Br. I. Miller dies next night. A 6 month old and a 6 year old are badly burned but may recover. mother and two children are buried together.
In Woodford, Ardmore, J. T. Algust, Hill, and George Reed were involved in a deadly shooting at Reed's blacksmith shop. Reed was fatally or seriously wounded, John Reed was seriously wounded after firing on Reed, and the shooter Hill fled then surrendered claiming self defense.
