Youth Killed In Wail Football Accident
A promising local football and cricket player died after a head injury during a game at Wail. The 18 year old, Thomas Purvis, fell ill at halftime and later died at Rase Hospital before surgery. Taylor's Lake Club forfeited the match in his memory. funeral held at Horsham Cemetery with widespread club tributes. An inquiry by the Deputy Coroner was opened and adjourned.
