Osceola Arkansas city council four to two overridden Mayor Charles Wiggul's vetoes Monday. The Board of Directors adopted a Planning and Zoning Commission backed plan for a six lane Interstate 30 entry into Hope. It calls replacing a half cloverleaf with a full cloverleaf, an overpass over Missouri Pacific yards on Shover Street, and a four lane Diamond interchange on Highway 4 at Washington Road. The proposal includes widening the Missouri Pacific underpass on Hervey Street to Third Street, extending toward Highway 29 and widening 23rd Street east to Shover Springs Road.

Man Injured Fatally In Arkansas Crash
Lee Whitaker aged 54 of Cotter Marion County sustained fatal injuries after his car left U S Route 62, plunged down an embankment and rolled several times near Mountain Home. He died at Baxter County Hospital. State Trooper John Kidwell reported the death.
