Renterriber 21 Opens Fall Rodeo Circuit at Colleges
The college year will start a series of student rodeos leading to eligibility for the National Collegiate Rodeo Association finals. The NCRA, founded in 1948, now has about 1,500 students from over 60 schools in eight regions. Events include calf-roping, bareback and saddle bronc riding, bulldogging, and barrel racing. Participants must carry 12 quarter-hour credits and maintain a 2.0 average. Success may bring cash prizes or entry to national circuits, but students gain training and degrees regardless.
