New TV Series Premiere Round Echoes Mixed Quality
Eleven new series debut over a weekend with fourteen if including three TV films. Don Adams returns on NBC in The Partners, a Get Smart vibe with comedy and action in Saturday slots. CBS offers Funny Face with Sandy Duncan, a college girl premise and workplace humor. Also previews for O Hara U S Treasury and Cade’s County starring Glenn Ford, delivering brisk production and gunplay but uneven storytelling. The reports note mixed critical reception and pending decisions on several shows.
