Wheat carload unloads in Hempstead County barns

A 90 000 pound bulk wheat car is being unloaded today and Tuesday by poultry and livestock farmers under Hempstead County Farm Bureau guidance led by T A Cornelius. The group reports 565 000 pounds of feed wheat secured to date with four additional cars ordered. Farmers from county sections participate as alfalfa hay and hairy vetch cars are moved to Blevins and soil building efforts continue. Winter planting of small grain begins across the county.
