Reconstruction plans after Korean conflict outlined by Bunce
Dr. Arthur C. Bunce, head of the Marshall Plan mission in Korea, returns to Washington for planning on future Economic Cooperation Administration aid. He reports 1.1 million residents in the Pusan area, plus 3 million refugees and 3 million more troops and vehicles complicating relief. Food needs are modest but relief funds are needed. UN involvement is urged to conserve U.S. ECA funds for reconstruction, including housing, roads, power, and industrial equipment.
