Woman alleges wrongful charge in cosmetic assault case
Louise Bennett, 26, a tavern waitress in Ocala, claims she was accused of stealing $20 and was subjected to a crew style haircut and stripped of her clothes. She was picked up by state police after an argument with her employers and two other waitresses, who are charged with assault and mayhem. Bennett says she was driven home after closing, then attacked. police report details a brutal beating in a wooded area and hair cutting with a pocket knife.
