Movies In Schools Is New Idea BY DAN THOMAS

Hollywood producer Jesse Lasky proposes giving old box office films to schools for educational use. The plan would supply authentic historical and geographical material shown in auditoriums or classrooms, replacing dull lectures and enriching subjects like geography and American history. Old films such as Old Ironsides and The Birth of a Nation would dramatize events while teaching facts, with films also aiding English studies through diction and analysis of screen art.
