Court Rapped by State Committee Over 1937 Nomination
Arkansas Supreme Court faced a petition for rehearing as the State Democratic Committee leaders June P. Wooten and Beloit Taylor urged the court to purge its ruling that Carl E. Bailey was not the Democratic nominee in the 1937 U.S. Senate special election. Oscar H. Winn had sought mandamus to strike David D. Terry from the Fifth District Democratic ballot.
