Berlin Bombed Again as Third Raid in 11 Days

H. H. Cheesebrough, manager, said he was closing his cafe due to inability to obtain employees. It was Caldwell Idaho's last restaurant. Purple martins migrate in large flocks numbering tens of thousands.

Blue stamps Book 2 control processed fruits and vegetables through September 20 and October 20. Sugar Book 1 stamp 14 is five pounds through October, stamps 15 and 16 five pounds each for canning. Shoes Book 1 stamp 18 valid through October 31. Gasoline by region with No. 7 A and other stamps varies by area. Fuel oil coupons: last year through September 30 and new season through January 3 1944 with 10 gallons per unit.

Two Arkansans Wounded in Action

The War Department lists two Arkansans wounded in action as of today. Pfe Jappeld Duke of Strong was wounded in the North African and Sicily region. Pvt. Charles L. Glover of Hot Springs was wounded in the Pacific area. A 10 pontoon bridge requires over one and a half tons of rubber.
