Memphis Police Officers Watch Sex Films at House Party
Memphis police officers including about 20 from the traffic division attended a sex film showing at a fellow officer’s home last May. Chief C. C. Macdonald said the films were supplied by a television announcer and shown by a station photographer. James Bobo resigned after it was revealed he possessed obscene material. The investigation traced the films to Tom York of WMC who loaned them from an out of state friend. Police say the fish fry gathering led to the screening with no guests aware beforehand.

Harold Stassen remains cautiously optimistic after final round of talks before flying to London for the disarmament conference. He met with Secretary Dulles at Dulles home and with Senator Humphrey to discuss U S strategy as the arms issue shifts to the General Assembly.
