Little Rock August 3 Governor McMath may act today to handle an emergency at the Arkansas girls training school after another mass break. The board of control lacks a quorum with two members resigned and another out of state. McMath's aides said he may name new members while staff resignations continue. Mrs Lavadda Pruitt head matron talked of resigning but was persuaded to stay temporarily. Four staffers have left or planned to leave reducing already depleted staff.
Five feeble survivors of the Confederacy are expected to attend the 59th United Confederate Veterans encampment in Little Rock Arkansas on September 27. The attendance is uncertain but likely the last gathering of the old army. General James W. Moore commands the UCV from Selma Alabama.

Deacons of First Baptist met last night and approved action on a proposed $175,000 auditorium to be built on the south end of the church block. A future Education building between the two structures is planned, with the three connected. Raymon Concrete Pile Co. of New F. awarded the first contract for pile driving to depth of feet. work to begin mid-September. The auditorium contract is expected to be let in September.

Names include Donald Keiper Lorna Funnel A Powell Jr Sammie Powell Johnny B Moore James Cheatom and others. Charges relate to escaping custody and liquor and general illegal transportation.
