Five cars stolen in three weeks recovered in area
The fifth auto stolen in three weeks from North Hervey street and other locations was found near Emmet. Mrs E F McFaddin’s Essex sedan was recovered near Emmet Thursday with an empty tank. Other recovered vehicles include Tully Henry’s Pontiac near Shreveport, Jim O’Neal’s Marquette on a Camden road, and Mr Williams’s Chevrolet in a Hope area mud-hole. Mrs Martha Stroud Jones’s Ford remains missing as of Thursday.

Police arrested a 19 year old after an accident at Third and Pine streets led to the discovery of a stolen Studebaker sedan. The youth admitted stealing the car from his Memphis stepfather and said he was headed for the open spaces before police noted the vehicle. The stepfather arrived later to reclaim the car.
