W S C S Mission Study At First Methodist Church
Prescott News reports the W S C S of the First Methodist Church held its first Mission study session led by Mrs. Alfred DeBlack. Topics included Paul's Letters to the Local Churches and Paul's journey on a map. The next meeting is scheduled for October 22 with a Hawaii themed afternoon. Guests included Mrs A R Underwood who described her Oahu visit and local floral decorations.

Arkansas Ballot Includes Three Segregation Proposals
In Arkansas three measures on racial integration will appear on the November ballot following Supreme Court rulings and the state primaries. Gov. Orval Faubus backs two proposals, while Jim Johnson sponsors a third calling for interposition against federal desegregation rulings. The Johnson plan is a proposed constitutional amendment, No. 47, with interposition wording. Faubus also backs an initiative related measure to appear as a resolution. An educational program for the other measure is planned before the election.
