More than six hundred people attended the Fifth Annual Harvest Festival in the Exhibit Hall at Fair Park on Tuesday night. The event was sponsored by the Hempstead County Council of Home Demonstration Clubs with Mrs. H. E. Patterson in charge and Rev. Merlin Cox delivering the invocation. A chicken dinner followed by games directed by Mrs. Patterson and Mrs. Lorraine B. Wylie featured a door prize awarded to W. L. Williams of Hope. various clubs supplied committees for serving decor, decoration, clean up and hospitality.
