In Little Rock AP report the state attorney general says a complaint against Trooper Joe Martz of Harrisburg was not answered due to an error by a State Police secretary. The filing in US District Court claims Morgan’s heirs sought summary judgment. papers allegedly mailed were not consistently tracked.
Dr David W. Mullins president of the University of Arkansas and Malcolm Moos president of the University of Minnesota join seven educators named Monday to a Higher Education Advisory Committee on Wages and Prices by the American Council on Education. The panel will meet in Washington to work on Phase 2 of Nixon's economic plan.
House members blocked a straight up or down vote on the Senate six month Indochina war deadline as Republicans kept one motion to reject nongermane Senate amendments to the 21 billion weapons bill. White House aides pressed for the Mansfield six month deadline while Ford suggested directing the motion to other features of the bill. Ray Lee Dawson, 20, of near Little Rock was found guilty Monday in the fatal shooting of his step grandfather Gabriel LaFrae, 71, of Wrightsville in January 17. He was sentenced to nine years in Circuit Court after testimony showed the killing occurred during a family argument.
