Lemley Wins Arkansas Skeet Title in Huge One-Day Meet
In a record one-day skeet tournament at Boyle Park Little Rock a field of 86 competed for the Arkansas amateur title. W K Lemley of Hope won with 94 targets, surpassing Ernest Van Sickle of Little Rock who finished third with 92. Home Clubs DeAnn The TeAm Home Demonstration met at Mrs W H Burke Wednesday at 2. Mrs Lee Garland president opened with a soap and devotional by Mrs M F Samuel. Twelve members attended with seven visitors from Oklahoma City including Miss Griffin who demonstrated quick potato yeast and parker house rolls. Miss Griffin judged canned goods and explained entry for the county fair while rolls baked. Recreation led by Mrs Wills Poole provided humor and ice tea served by Misses Caitlin Burke and Billie Arnold. Next meeting November 14 at Mrs S B Breeding with Christmas cake and candy making. Badeaw Badeaw Horne club then met October 2 with 14 members at Mrs W A Candle, Miss Heath returning after two months with a school lunches demonstration and district meeting plans. They adjourned to meet with Mrs W H Munn for a bed room chair marking demo on Friday the 7th. Next regular meeting will be with Mrs Edgar Downs the first Wednesday in November.

Funeral Held for Columbus Farmer David Wilson
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 30 from his home in Columbus with the Rev J C Williams of Washington and Rev W Moore Scott of Little Rock officiating. Burial was in Columbus Cemetery. Wilson, a well known Columbus farmer, was found dead Monday morning a victim of heart disease. He is survived by his widow and two children James W Green of Houston Texas and John of Columbus.

Billy Spates 91 of McNab Dies at Home
Billy Spates aged 91 of McNab died Monday afternoon at home attributed to natural causes. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at his home in charge of C A Cannon of the Church of Christ. Surviving are his widow and four children. Following services the body was taken to Saratoga for burial.
