Campaneris Reinstated for World Series by Kuhn

Oakland shortstop Bert Campaneris was reinstated for the World Series by baseball Commissioner Bowie Kuhn. He will miss the first seven days of the 1973 AL season but may play in the Series. Campaneris was suspended for the last three AL playoff games after throwing a bat at Detroit pitcher Lerrin LaGrow. The suspension costs him about 3000, to be donated to baseball's treasury. He learned of the ruling from Kuhn's statement and expressed mixed feelings, noting his ankle is sore but should not affect the Series.
