Arkansas court voids aviation laws on trains access
A federal district court in Little Rock invalidated Arkansas aviation rules tied to passenger train service. Judge Martin, joined by Van Coster, Miller, and Smith Henley, ruled the laws unconstitutional under the Fourteenth Amendment and interstate commerce, enjoining their enforcement. The suit, brought by six major railroads including Rok Line, Kansas City Southern, Missouri Pacific, Cotton Belt, and St. Louis San Francisco, challenged the state measures.
