A party of seventeen hunters in Chicot county claimed five buck deer as one of the season's biggest catches. O R Williams a Sheridan native now with a lumber business led the expedition on Bouef River with Jim Lindsey of El Dorado and fifteen Sheridan men. Williams returned to Hope displaying photos but brought back only about twenty pounds of venison steak after a week of hunting and several venison dinners.

DTH Executed in Nevada Gas Chamber
Everett Mull alias John Hall of Morganton North Carolina was executed in Nevada's gas chamber for the murder of John C. O'Brien in a quarrel. He smiled and waved to 41 witnesses through plate glass then lost consciousness in two minutes and died in ten to become the state's fifth lethal gas execution.
