Welfare Cash Crises Gets a Boost
LITTLE ROCK AP The Welfare Department eased its financial crisis by tapping a general state fund Monday and signaled a possible next month draw. It took 150000 from a revolving fund financed by interest on state investments to match federal funds. The cushion fund, created by Julian C Hogan in 1961, supports all agencies. Whether tapped again next month depends on incoming general revenues, expected to lag November 1966 levels due to tax timing.
