Bankrupt Firm Sells Equipment in Clarksville Ark

Clarksville Ark AP purchase of the equipment of Priebe and Song poultry processing company, a new bankrupt firm that ceased operations Jan. 29, was announced by R. Y. Fulbright of Clarksville. He bought the equipment in Chicago and already owns the plant building. The firm formerly employed about 300 people and owned a hatchery and feed mill in Clarksville with total employment near 180. Harry A. Ash of Chicago was named receiver after the bankruptcy filing. Fulbright, cousin of Sen. J William Fulbright, did not disclose plans for the plant and said he was negotiating recently.

Pickup truck fire claims Mountain View man

George Robert Rosa, 22, of Mountain View, died after his pickup truck crashed into a bridge abutment near Batesville. He was trapped in the cab and burned as the vehicle caught fire. traffic was tied up about 1 1/2 hours while firemen fought the blaze and cleared the single bridge lane. Rosa worked for a wholesale gasoline distributor in Mountain View.

Two WWII veterans reunite in Conway after 1919 separation

At Conway Arkansas this week Robinete, a retired biology professor at Arkansas State Teachers College, met Rollie B. Miller of Florence Oregon. The two men were stationed at Le Mans France during World War II and had not seen each other since their 1919 discharge.
