Mrs Lee Weatherly, 22, of Arkansas’s Desarc area, was burned to death when attempting to start a fire by pouring coal oil into a stove. Her husband suffered serious burns while rushing to rescue her. The house burned and the body could not be removed. She is survived by her husband, parents, and a sister.

Walter Cornelius is improving. Miss Lula Mae Simmons is on the sick list. Raymond Cornelius has had fever recently but is otherwise fine. Attended church Sunday at Battle Field.
Providence Mrs Neille Moore of Hugo and her parents visited while Lib erty Hill hosts Mr and Mrs J F Morgan on Sunday. Visitors included Mr and Mrs William Brummett of Hope to E J Jones. Others joined dinner at Browning and visits to Campbell and Thornton. A crowd attended Wilma Roberts party, but reports say no nice time.
Guernsey and Charles Aubrey of Texarkana were weekend guests of Mr and Mrs Rey Franks. Mr and Mrs Archie Somers and children from below Hope spent Sunday with relatives. J R Yocum returned to Hope after visiting his daughter Mrs Barry Melver. Luther Aslin was a business visitor in Hope Saturday. Mr and Mrs Emory Thompson of Fulton were Sunday visitors of Mr and Mrs R C Byers. William Suggs of Longview Texas is visiting relatives here and at McNab this week. Mrs M L Hicks was shopping in Hope Saturday afternoon. Horace Cashion of Bright Hive was a Sunday visitor here.
