Riot Shakes Peace City in Switzerland

Dr Frank W Pickell has opened his own offices on the second floor of the Citizens National Bank Cillains after 16 months with Josephine hospital Hope. He is a practicing physician and surgeon, Ark University graduate, son of Fayetteville physician F W Pickell, and will be aided by local nurse E M McCoy as his assistant.

North Hazel Street Garage Damaged by Fire

The Red Ball garage on North Hazel street was slightly damaged by fire about 11 o clock Wednesday night. Firemen extinguished the blaze before it could make much headway. The fire caught from an electric motor. The garage is operated by Jim Lindsey.

Negro Crushed to Death Near Columbus

Dr. J. H. Weaver, county coroner, announced at 2 30 p m Thursday that the inquest into the death of Zannie Black had been continued until Friday. The negro, about 40, lived alone five miles south of Columbus. skull fractures and a jaw fracture were reported. He was found dead in a field near his burned home early Thursday morning, with officers suspecting foul play. Black was a World War veteran.

Accident Report Corrected On Hope Fulton Road Crash

The Star corrects an earlier report about a road incident on Hope Fulton road. A Texarkana driver, Jacob Brown of Texarkana Lumber Co., allegedly struck two Fulton youths riding horses, injuring the boys and killing one horse. Postoffice Closes at Noon on Friday in Hope

With local businesses shutting for Armistice day the Hope postoffice will observe a half holiday Friday closing windows at noon. Deliveries and mail dispatch remain on schedule while the lobby stays open for box access. Postmaster J A Davis announced the plan.
