Researchers Ki. T. Baleh C. A. Fort and J. Hamilton of the U S Bureau of Chemistry and Soils report a four season Louisiana program yielding an excellent syrup from cane leftovers after sugar extraction. Last season over 11 000 gallons of blended syrup were produced using government experimental equipment.
