Fayetteville Plans Polio Shots Sunday

Fayetteville area clinics in Washington County will offer Sabin oral polio vaccine from 2 pm to 5 pm Sunday at Fayetteville and Springdale schools. County health officer Dr Pat Heerwatton said about 37,000 residents received the vaccine countywide last Sunday. He noted two of 10 poliomyelitis cases in the county were Type 2 and most remaining cases likely Type 1, with vaccine believed protective for Type 3 as well.
