Victory Harvest Show and Home Demonstration Club Plans
Centerville Home Demonstration Club met for an all day session at Mrs. Guy Linaker’s home. Miss Fletcher demonstrated cheese making to members from Centerville Oakgrove Rocky Mound and Hopewell. A live-at-home luncheon was served. Afternoon business covered planning for Achievement Day on November 4 and 6. November meeting with the Oakgrove Club and a cook school are on the schedule. The Victory Harvest Show is set for November 5 to 7 in the new exhibit building next to the U. S. Employment Service with free admission. The exhibit, prepared in cooperation with Navy and the Chief Organization, opens Friday morning and runs through the 7th. All Home Demonstration and Garden Club members are urged to attend. Displays will feature fresh vegetables and food-for-victory projects. Ribbons will be awarded. Exhibits must be ready by 9:00 a.m. Friday, November.
