Ezra Pound Dies in Venice at 67 After Illness
Poet Ezra Pound renowned for major works and controversial wartime broadcasts died in a Venice hospital two days after his 67th birthday. Born in Hailey Idaho, Pound shaped modern poetry and English usage while facing treason charges in the United States. He led imagist circles in London before WWI and edited T. S.
