Timothy grass named for Timothy Hanson from 1720
The plant was named in honor of Timothy Hanson who is said to have introduced timothy grass into the Carolinas about 1720. The Great Pyramid reportedly uses over 2.3 million stone blocks weighing about two and a half tons each. An inscription under the west portico pediment reads Justice Under God.
