The Supreme Court rules a 1967 postal law allows homeowners to block mail addressed to them and to sue mass mailers who ignore removal requests. Chief Justice Burger says householder power is unlimited, enabling refusal of catalogs or other mail by objecting residents.
In Cotton Plant Arkansas COMBAT leader Rev Roy Laird says the march across Woodruff County is rescheduled for June 22. The march originally set for Tuesday was postponed after Laird and other COMBAT leaders faced charges in Augusta Municipal Court.
The Arkansas Public Service Commission upheld Arkla Gas Co policy to disconnect service for bad checks without notice. GROUP plans to appeal to the circuit court and seek legislation at the next General Assembly session. Mrs Hibbs of Little Rock had her service discontinued on December 30 due to a dishonored payment.

Sen Mark Hatfield personally signed a 2175 check to the Post Office to cover mailing costs for antiwar material sent under franking privileges.
