Arkansas art plan adds zinc mill painting to state collection

The work, tied to Arkansas scenes, recalls Rush Marion County where zinc mining thrived during WWI before prices collapsed. Shoemaker and his wife, amateur archaeologists, described mining boom, later decline, and present ruins with only about six families remaining.
