Former Texas A M quarterback ert A Kern died here yesterday at age 66. He starred for the Aggies in 1910 and 1911 and later served as president of a Little Rock company. Survivors include his widow and three daughters. Funeral arrangements are complete.

Memphis police report a 61 year old watchman shot and killed Wilson Giles a foreman at Choctaw Inc after an money dispute then killed himself. In Memphis on May 26, the ninth day of the federal trial of seven defendants focused on a father's testimony about his son Napoleon Maxwell leaving a truckload of whisky and an army rifle at his farm during January.
