In four hospitals across New York and New Jersey, 37 percent of 1,828 patients left early, many due to dissatisfaction with care, home concerns, or emotional issues. the report proposes stronger medical leadership, psychiatric support, larger nursing staffs, expanded social services, and delayed sign-out to curb contagion risks.
