South Vietnam repels two major A Shau Valley attacks

South Vietnamese forces and U.S. aircraft repelled the first two large counterattacks in the A Shau Valley campaign. Don Carter president of the Associated Press Managing Editors Association proposed a bylaw change to grant full APME membership to Canadian Press members who attend the APME convention. The Board will present the recommendation at the annual Philadelphia meeting in October.
