A busy May schedule features Ralph Routon presenting pupils in a high school recital Tuesday May 20 in the auditorium. Church gatherings, ladies' luncheons, and garden club events span Tuesday through Thursday with services at the Assembly of God and fellowship meetings at the Barrow area churches.
Mrs L A Foster hosted guests as Mr and Mrs Leonard Wilford Young celebrated 26 years of marriage at the Henry home. Attendees included family friends Mr and Mrs Richard Forester of Shreveport and Mr and Mrs Boine Snyder with others arriving to share cakes and cordial. A silk and floral reception featured pink flowers, silver service, and a dining room adorned with pink stock and roses.
