Cattle on feed numbers edge lower amid spring outlook
The 23 state cattle on feed estimate shows 10.6 million head, an 11 percent drop from January 1 and 3 percent below last April. Arkansas specialist James A. Clower notes higher January-March placements and marketings. he expects about 6 million fed cattle to market in April-June, with slaughter slightly up from last year as spring pasture curbs cow and non-fed steer movements. Feeder cattle prices likely stay strong through spring before easing in fall.

Nixon to discuss Brezhnev role in detente on Frost show
Nixon's second TV interview aims to portray Brezhnev as steadier than Khrushchev and a key partner in detente. The program, airing on a made shift network, follows a Watergate focused first show and previews Nixon defending Cambodia policy while Kissinger is cited but silent. The interview also notes Nixon’s long view on foreign policy spanning decades. New Orleans history line appears as a stray fragment.
