Kidnay diplomat freed after kidnapping in Guadalajara
U S Consul General Terrance G. Leonhardy returned home after a 39 hour wait freed by Mexican authorities and a ransom deal. He thanked Mexican officials and his family, saying he was very happy to be free and reunited. The kidnapping occurred Friday afternoon as he drove home alone.
