Thunderstorms Move Across Arkansas With More Likely
Thunderstorms rumbled across Arkansas Tuesday night and early today with forecasts predicting more showers and storms. Warm humid air aloft and high winds blasted Arkadelphia uprooting trees and cutting power for about an hour. Unconfirmed reports spoke of a tornado as heavy rain caused minor flash flooding near Ouachita and Henderson campuses.

Weather winds howl across Arkansas with hail in several areas
The National Weather Service reports strong winds heavy rain and hail across parts of Arkansas with golf ball size hail at Hot Springs and two inch hail at Lake Hamilton. Mena clocked winds near 50 to 60 mph near midnight as hail and storms moved through Magnet Cove Sheridan Pine Bluff and surrounding locales. A weak cold front will drift through the state with partial thundershowers mainly southeast. Temperatures look to remain in the 60s at night and around 80 during the day through the weekend.

Dianna Keith announced National Music Week and officials reported on the May state Lions and Leo conventions at Marble Falls Arkansas. Jim Gunter was elected District 71 governor.
